Welcome to our Key Stage 2 class page

In our class we have 7 amazing Hedgehogs who are very keen to learn new things each and every day. The staff in our class (Michelle, Dave, Stuart, Denise, Belinda and Claire will ensure that our class page will be regularly updated at various times throughout the Academic year, this will ensure that parents at home know what we have been up to in hedgehogs class, and what has been planned for future activities. In Hedgehogs we enjoy sensory sessions as well as getting messy. We also like to play outside when the weather is good. During class time our little Hedgehogs like to learn with physical objects.

General Information

Home School Diaries

We ask parents and carers to return the home school diary each day, as this will enable the class teacher and TAs' to provide comments and information about your child's day in school. If there are particular things you wish to be informed about, please speak with the class teacher.

Individual Education Plans (IEPs)

This plan sets out educational targets that your child is working on for the term. There is a section in the plan which provides parents and carers with activities or tasks you can do at home to support your child's learning. Plans are updated each term and sent home.

Reading Books

Within the next couple of weeks all children and young people are to be encouraged to engage in reading and develop a love of stories. We have a wide range of reading books, sensory books and big books to support the learning styles and levels for each child. Every Friday, your child will receive a new reading book. Please encourage your child to engage with the characters and stories. Please ensure that each Library book is returned to school on Monday Mornings.
