We ask parents and carers to return the home / school diary each day, as this will enable the class teacher to provide comments and information about your child’s day in school. If there are particular things you wish to be informed about, please speak with me.
Individual Education Plan(IEP’s)
This plan sets out educational targets that your child is working on for the term. There is a section in the plan which provides parents and carers with activities or tasks you can do at home to support your child’s learning. Plans are updated each term and sent home.
(As we are not sending reading books home at the moment due to COVID then some links and ideas to promote reading at home)
All children and young people are encouraged to engage in reading and develop a love of stories. We have a wide range of reading books, sensory books and big books to support the learning styles and levels for each child. Every Friday, your child will receive a new reading book. Please encourage your child to engage with the characters and stories.

If your child is off school due to isolation or sickness, there will be home learning activities update to the class page relating to the topic that the class will be learning about that week. If you would like any individual activities that are designed directly for your child's abilities and interests then please contact me.

Activity idea 2– Make a collage with pictures of all different vegetables. To make it even better you could add some writing to your work with the overwrite sheets.

Activity idea 4– Explore the different items that make a salad. Decide whether to make a fruit salad or a salad with vegetables. What different items will you put in your salad?

Activity idea 7– Set up a tuck shop at home and practice exchanging money for items from the shop.
With an adults support can you make beans on toast. You can heat the beans in the microwave or in a saucepan. Remember to be careful as the toaster, microwave and hob are very hot and can burn. You need an adult to help you.

Activity idea 2– Design and make your own wind chime using ideas gathered from your research . Think carefully about what you might want to include on your wind chime.
Activity idea 3– Design and make your own bird feeder to encourage birds to visit your garden at home.
Activity idea 4– Take part in a mini beast hunt either in your garden at home or at the local park. What different mini beasts can you find?

Over the Rainbow
This month we have had an exciting 'Over the Rainbow' curriculum in which we have been focusing on being health and mental well being. We have been exploring our emotions, making and tasting healthy food, making stress balls, staying active and many more fun activities.
