Rowan Park School Secondary and Sixth form department provide education for learners aged 11 - 19 with severe, complex, profound and multiple learning difficulties including Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC).
Our curriculum forms the foundation upon which all our learning and experiences are built upon for students during their time with us. Our curriculum is both innovative and progressive in addressing the 2014 national curriculum, through providing our learners with not only; a good academic foundation which leads through to appropriate qualification on leaving. But also developing lifelong skills to assist students in the world of work and vocational skills (whether that be supported employment or in further education), self-help and practical living skills. Along with as rich cultural, sporting and creative opportunities.
Aims and Objectives
Rowan Park School aims to provide a broad, balanced, diverse and differentiated curriculum which is challenging, creative and fun for all secondary and sixth form students. Throughout learning, we aim to facilitate learner’s acquisition of knowledge, skills and qualities which will help them to develop intellectually, emotionally, socially, physically, morally and aesthetically, so that they may become independent, responsible, thinking, confident and considerate members of the community.
