We are a mixed class of 4 boys and 5 girls. We love to learn and where ever possible take the learning outdoors. We work really hard and always try our best. We are taking part in a new award to school called the Green Trees Award so please keep checking for more updates.
P .E. sessions take place on Wednesday in the morning, please ensure a full P.E. kit is brought to school and that items are clearly labelled to avoid confusion. On the other Friday afternoon we will be swimming in the school pool, please ensure a full P.E. kit is brought to school and that items are clearly labelled to avoid confusion.
Our topic this half term is getting active. This will include individual activities to get moving such as dance, yoga, walking and sensory circuits.
We do cookery every Tuesday. Please let us know if your child has any food allergies.
Work Related Learning
As part of supporting young people to develop their skills, your child will take part in work related learning experiences. This term your child is going to be baking and selling loaves of bread. This will involve food hygiene, following instructions, working alongside others, developing baking skills and customer service skills.
We ask parents and carers to return the home / school diary each day, as this will enable the class teacher to provide comments and information about your child’s day in school. If there are particular things you wish to be informed about, please speak with me.
Individual Education Plan (IEP’s)
This plan sets out educational targets that your child is working on for the term. There is a section in the plan which provides parents and carers with activities or tasks you can do at home to support your child’s learning. Plans are updated each term and sent home.
All children and young people are encouraged to engage in reading and develop a love of stories. Reading Diaries are kept in school and this term will be sent home as well.
